Description |
A swashbuckler of the highest ability and the self-proclaimed "greatest warrior ever", Zharad is a classy, sophisticated character. A ladies' man, the swaggering swordsman is an actor to the end, always ready for his moment in the spotlight, his chance to shine. Often dismissed by his peers as a snobbish wannabe, the olive-eyed braggart will risk life and limb to help his friends, to prove to his skeptical fellows that he is, and will always be, a true hero. |
Personality |
Piperburg is the very picture of the refined, classy swordsman, a man with a plan, ready to brave the darkest depths of the devil's dungeons to rescue a damsel in distress. A brave figure with dry wit, his boldness often borders on arrogance. His peers often dismiss him as a talk-a-lot with no money where his mouth is, but Piperburg will stop at nothing to prove to his skeptical companions that he is a real fighter, one NOT to be trifled with. |
Background |
Zharad hails from a posh, civilized urban utopia (the most metropolitan area in your campaign), the offspring of one of the most wealthy and successful families in the nations. Waited on hand and foot by slaves, servants, butlers and maids, the pompous punk spent the bulk of his life knowing naught but nurturing, care, and coddling. His father, a former adventurer of no small renown, encouraged this, preferring the solitude and kindness of a false, sheltered life to the harsh reality of the outside world. But sure enough, Zharad couldn't be kept from the truth. When on a small trip out of his mansion to buy some groceries, the rich Piperburg was brutally mugged and robbed of his possessions, left bleeding on the street to die. Luckily, his manservant was able to get him back to his father on time, where he was treated for his wounds. Unfortunately, his mutilated stump of a hand was beyond repair. Knowing that gangrene would soon set in, the family doctor was forced to remove his hand altogether, placing a prosthetic in its place. Furious at his loss of limb and lack of knowledge, disgusted at his own naivety, Piperburg demanded that he be taught proper self-defense against the brigands and ruffians who would dismember him. Hiring only the finest swordsmen from across the nation, Piperburg's father was pleased to teach his ambitious prodigy the graceful art of swashbuckling. After years of training, Zharad has finally set out into the wide world, ready to defeat evil wherever it may hide. The swashbuckling don juan will fight the good fight, battling to the end for the greater good. |
